The purposes of this Association Chapter are to:
- Unite registered professional perioperative nurses for the purpose of maintaining an Association chapter, dedicated to promoting the highest professional standards of perioperative nursing practice for the optimal care of the patient before, during and after operative and other invasive procedures:
- Provide opportunities for continuous professional development, including diversified educational activities:
- Generate, evaluate and disseminate scientific evidence to improve professional perioperative practice:
- Provide leadership in professional perioperative practice to influence health care delivery locally, nationally, and globally:
- Lawfully cooperate with other professional associations, health care facilities, universities, industries, technical societies, research organizations and governmental agencies in matters affecting the foregoing purposes of the Association:
- Lawfully adopt policies and conduct programs for the improvement of professional perioperative practice, provided the policies and programs are consistent with the following requirements: the Association and chapter is not organized for profit and no part of its earnings inure to individuals.
- Hold local chapter meetings, which foster the purposes of the Association and Chapter.

Megan Maygra Nursing Professional Development Specialist
President
Megan Maygra is a seasoned Perioperative Nurse with 22 years of surgical care experience. She began her career in the U.S. Navy as a Surgical Technologist, later expanding her clinical practice to include Trauma, Burns, and Pediatrics in the Pacific Northwest.
Megan has held progressive roles in education, management, and leadership, and currently serves as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist for a multi-state health system. She is also the founder of a Nurse Consulting business supporting legal and educational initiatives.
She holds dual graduate degrees in Nursing Administration and Business, and remains active in the Columbia River Region AORN Chapter. Outside of work, Megan enjoys volunteering, gardening, and family time.
Haley Mooster MSN, RN, CNOR
President-Elect
Haley Mooster is an experienced nursing professional with a robust background in perioperative and nursing education. Haley holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oregon Health & Science University. With a career spanning over two decades, Haley has held various roles including Assistant OR/Anes manager, Perioperative Clinical Specialist, Nursing Professional Development Specialist, Clinical Education
Network Manager and Adjunct Faculty. Haley's expertise includes perioperative education, project management, and professional development. Haley has contributed to the development of perioperative courses and educational materials. Haley is currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty member at Concordia St. Paul and a Staff Nurse at The Vancouver Clinic.
She is consistently recognized for adaptability and expertise in high-acuity environments, demonstrating strong leadership skills while effectively managing complex, multidisciplinary teams. Adept at mentoring staff and nursing students, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in perioperative care.
